Ruben is knowledgeable tour guide, we enjoy Dali museum, but due to inclement weather we didn’t see much of Girona due to heavy rain and walking through it is not fun to do

We had a wonderful day, the guide, Oriel, was outstanding and we were able to see the highlights of Girona and the Dalí museum in one day. The van was comfortable even with 8 people plus the guide. Oriel guided us on a lovely tour with just the right amount of time and commentary. At the Dalí Museum, he led us through with a wonderful commentary that tied the entire museum together. Our visit to the Dalí Museum would not have been as valuable without the guidance we were provided.

This day trip out of Barcelona offered two very different experiences. Girona is all about history through the ages while Figueres is about Modernism via Dali. We were very fortunate to have Venanci as our guide. His knowledge of both subjects was truly amazing. He brought the ancient history alive. In Figueres his explanations of Dali’s work made it understandable. It was a long but worthwhile day. This tour is a great one day excursion if you are staying in Barcelona.

Our guide Vicente was very personable, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. There was only 5 people, including two of us, and the price was very reasonable. These two places should not be missed on your trip to Spain.

Mother Nature was the only negative on this entire tour experience. Watch the weather; bring small umbrellas if it looks like it might rain. Orial was our tour guide, and he did a fantastic job (clearly Viator hires different people for this tour, so you’re not sure who you will get, hence the mixed tour guide names and reviews). Orial was so good, there were people outside of our small tour group that would listen in on what he had to say; both in Girona and at the Dali Museum. He stood out everywhere we went as someone who was very knowledgeable. Orial showed up at our hotel just five minutes late which was better than I expected. We had seven in our group, and the tour van was very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have taken this tour during Girona’s Flower Festival. Because of this, there were many areas open to the public that normally are not. Girona is a city that is a must see if you’re staying in Barcelona and want to go to the Dali Museum. It was much larger a town than I expected, and is very beautiful and gothic. A few locations in the filming of Game of Thrones were pointed out to us. Orial left us on our own for about an hour for lunch, but showed us various places to eat; gothic Girona looks a lot like Barcelona, with plenty of options where it comes to eating. The Dali museum tour went very well. We waited about fifteen minutes in line to get in (on a Friday in May). You have to give the tour guide 14 euro pp so he can get tickets. Again, Orial shined in his duties and had other people’s attention. My girlfriend’s son did comment that our guide didn’t show us every single room/piece of art in the building. If I’d changed anything, I would have the guide, after the tour, give the tourists about a half an hour on their own to look around before leaving. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Barcelona area.

These are two places you should not miss when in Spain Our tour guide Ben was so knowledgeable, well versed in both areas, patient and just fun to be with. Would tour anyplace with him! Girona was a surprise....beautiful old village, lots of walking steps but it is up to you as to how much you want to do. Where scenes from The Game of Thrones were shot. Lovely winding streets with unusual shops-friendly shop keepers.Old Jewish temple, city walls, bridge by Gustav Eiffel. Dali museum was amazing.Ben was so insightful into how is early life and then time with Gala influenced his art. Ben told the entire history with side stories that made the Dali artwork make sense. Would take a tour anywhere with him! What a nice gentleman.

The Dali Museum is a real treat for Dali fans. The architecture is simply surreal. Well worth it for afficianados. Our guide Kurt was a Dali historian and provided pearl of insight. Girona was quaint. The old Jewish section, the oldest remaining Jewish neighborhood had no distinguishing features to show the link with history. Nevertheless, we had a highly educational tour because of Kurt, our guid's erudition.

Our guide was great! He knew Girona very well, and allowed us plenty of time to explore on our own. It was structured enough so that we saw everything, but un-structured enough that we molded the experience to our interests.
