About this activity
What are we doing?
In the morning we leave Girona for Santa Pau, where we will visit it's medieval wall and Old Quarter. We'll then continue towards the Santa Margarida Volcano, where we will have breakfast before climbing to the Chapel of Santa Margarida, right in the middle of the crater. When we're back, we'll have a typical packed lunch consisting of appetizers, bread with tomato, local cold meats, drinks and fruit. We'll then go to La Fageda full of energy, a magical beech forest on a volcanic lava hill, stroll under the shades of its tall trees, discover what the tossols are and feel the steps of our ancestors. Afterwards we'll head towards some nearby waterfalls and natural pools, in the heat of the day, where we can take a bath. We will close the day in Banyoles, explaining its origins and history with a guided tour along the shores of its magnificent, marvelous lake.
