About this activity
Day 1: 8.45am Pick up from 266 George Street in Glasgow and the first trip to Dean Castle used in filming season 2. Afterwards, you will enjoy an afternoon Glasgow Outlander City Tour including Pollok Park (used both season 1 and 2), Glasgow Cathedral (Hôpital des Anges) and George Square (used for London with Frank). We will then drop you back off at 266 George Street where this day will end.

Day 2: Check out of your Glasgow accommodation and meet the tour at 266 George Street at 9 am. We will then make way for the Highlands passing Doune Castle (Castle Leoch), Culross (Crainesmuir and used in season 2), Kinloch Rannoch where they filmed Craigh Na Dun (not a real place, standing stone props were erected. We will then drop you off at your Inverness accommodation that you organise yourself.

Day 3: At 9 am, we will collect you at the Inverness Cathedral, and we will make a trip to the Loch Ness where you can enjoy a Loch cruise which finishes off with a visit to Urquhart Castle which was mentioned in the book. We will then make a trip to the Culloden Battlefield and the Clava Cairns (real standing stones). (Entrance, meals and lodging not included). We will return you to the Inverness Cathedral which ends this day.

Day 4: Check out of your accommodation. We will start our collections at 8 am and will notify you of your pick up time depending on your accommodation location. We will make our way for Edinburgh stopping at the Highland Folk Museum (rent episode) on the journey. On arrival in Edinburgh, you can enjoy a dinner at the Worlds End pub which plays a pivotal role in the books 2 and 3. It is also located a short distance from the Closes they used to film the print shop in Season 3. We will drop you off at your Edinburgh Accommodation that you organise yourself.

Day 5: We will collect you at Chamber Street in Edinburgh (outside the National Museum of Scotland) at 9.30am. We will then make a day trip up to Dysart (Le Havre in season 2), Falkland (Inverness in Series 1) and Aberdour Castle (Saint Ann de Beaupre's monastery). We will return you to Chamber Street at the end of the day.

Day 6: We will collect you again at Chamber Street in Edinburgh at 9.30am. On this day, we will visit Blackness Castle (Fort William), Lallybroch (Midhope Castle), Hopetoun House (Duke of Sandringham's residence and also used in series 2) and the Glencorse Old Kirk (the wedding scene). We will return you to Chamber Street at the end of the day.

Day 7: We will collect you at Chamber Street in Edinburgh at 10 am for the start of our last day which is also shorter than the other days. We begin with a visit to Linlithgow Palace (Wentworth prison) and then to Bo'ness Railway (used for wartime London scenes). If there is the time, we can also visit the Preston Mill (where Jamie loses his shirt fixing the mill). The tour will end when we drop you back off on Chamber Street in Edinburgh.
