About this activity
Having booked a time that suits, make your own way to the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden, Glasgow. If you think you know the history of Scotland's national football (soccer) stadium, think again.

Explore the thousands of objects on display, tracing the history of football in Scotland, and watch film footage highlighting some of the most memorable games and some of the great players of days gone by.

Sit in what was the original dressing room from the old Hampden stadium and listen to former national team manager Craig Brown addressing his Scotland squad. Enter through one of the old turnstiles and watch the legendary Archie Gemmill score one of the top ten World Cup goals of all time against Holland.

Marvel at the original Scottish Cup, the world’s oldest national trophy, and learn about the history of Scottish football from the 19th century right up until today. Also visit the Scottish Football Hall of Fame, which features the greatest players this country has ever produced. Denis Law, Jim Baxter, Kenny Dalglish, and even catch some of the great foreign players to have graced our national game.

Meet your guide in the cafe on the second level of Hampden Park stadium and begin the 1-hour guided stadium tour. Experience Hampden Park like a player by visiting the team changing rooms, walking through the tunnel to the sound of the infamous Hampden Roar, and even having a shot at goal for yourself.

At the conclusion of the tour, make your own way back to your hotel or to your next destination.
