New Lanark World Heritage Site Visitor Attraction Tickets

A visitor's journey begins with the 'Annie McLeod Experience' Dark Ride and then moves to the working textile machinery floor & Roof Garden. After this part of the attraction, visitors are free to explore the following areas on foot at their leisure:

• Millworkers' House in 1820s and 1930s
• Robert Owen's House
• Historic Classroom
• Village Store
• Working Textile Machinery Floor (see New Lanark Woollen Yarn being spun, then purchase in the Mill Shop)

Visitors can spend anywhere between 2 - 4 hours exploring the various areas of the New Lanark Visitor Attraction. More time can be spent on site in the Mill Shop, Mill Café or within the Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve.

Visitor Attraction tickets include the 'Story of New Lanark' guided tour which runs twice daily at 11.30am and 2pm, leaving from the Institute Reception Building. Tours last around 45 minutes. There is a limited capacity per tour and places must be booked at our Visitor Attraction Reception Desk. Tours introduction: Explore the history of New Lanark from its inception to the present day operation. Who owned the mills? How many people worked here? How did the mills operate? Discover the answer to these questions and more as our guides tells the story of New Lanark and the people who lived and worked here for almost 200 years.

Once on-site, visitors can purchase a village map for a donation of 50p to the New Lanark Trust - this will allow you to find your way around our historic village and make sure you don't miss any of our key attractions.
