Stop At: Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow Royal Infirmary Castle Street, Glasgow G4 0SF Scotland

We will leave your accommodation and arrive at the awe-inspiring Glasgow Cathedral, which is dedicated to St Kentigern, also known as St Mungo who is the patron saint of the city of Glasgow. Step down to the crypts and find the effigy of Bishop Wishart who was an ally to William Wallace and Robert the Bruce during the wars of Scottish Independence.
• The Bruce Heritage Centre - We then travel the short distance to the King Robert the Bruce Heritage Centre, which is a charity foundation run by the Strathleven Artizans. Experience the history of King Robert living and dying in the crown lands of Cardross and sit on an exact replica of the warrior kings throne.
• Bannockburn visitor centre - We will carry on our tour at the Bannockburn visitor centre and learn about the famous battle where Robert the Bruce raised his standard in 1314 and gathered his men to take on the might of the English army led by King Edward II. Stand shoulder-to-shoulder with medieval warriors whilst learning about the tactics of the two opposing kings in a truly immersive experience. Witness the sights and sounds of medieval battle first-hand including ancient battle strategies, weapons and armour. Each tour culminates in a visit to the Battle Room. Here, you will witness Bruce's decisive victory against all odds before taken the opportunity to recreate the Battle of Bannockburn and take command of the virtual battlefield.
• Our final stop is at Dunfermline Abbey, which is the final resting place of Robert the Bruce and his wife Queen Elizabeth de Burgh. Doubling as Westminster we see many scenes filmed in Dunfermline as Edward I vented his fury at the rebelling Scots. The call to ‘raise the dragon’ also went out from here.
• We will then finish our tour and take the short drive back to your accommodation.
