The tour package takes you to ‘Murudeshwara temple’ situated on Kanduka Hill in Murudeshwara city located 200 kms to the South of Goa. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The striking feature of the temple is world’s second largest statue (37.5 metre tall) of Lord Shiva which took about two years to build. It is a massive temple with 20 stories or gopuras supported by lift. Two life-size sculptures of elephants at the entrance of temple welcome the visitors. You will find multiple statues pertaining to scenes from Hindu mythology inside the temple complex. The location of temple surrounded by Arabian Sea on three sides is exquisite. The main deity is Sri Mridesa Linga, also called Murdeshwar. Subsequently,you will be taken for lunch at a local restaurant.
