2 Day Cappadocia Tour Package From Istanbul / Tour Itinerary 

Day 1 Istanbul to Cappadocia

Pick up from your Istanbul Hotel at approximately 5.00am, and transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Flight from Istanbul to Kayseri airport. You will be picked up from Kayseri airport on your arrival and transfered to Cappadocia where you will meet your tour guide and group and set off on your full day guided North Cappadocia (Red) Tour. We start the day with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Goreme Open Air Museum with its tiny churches cut into the rocks and adorned with beautiful frescoes. Next up is a visit to the small village of Cavusin where you can visit the rock church of John the Baptist. We continue to Pasabag, also known as Monk's Valley, and the location of some of the best formed fairy chimneys in the area. Before stopping for lunch, we will visit Devrent Valley, also known as "Imagination Valley". Here, the rock formations are particularly unusual. After a filling lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit a local pottery workshop for a demonstration and to learn about this industry which has been flourishing in this region for centuries because of the rich clay in the local area. Other stops include Zelve Valley, and Pigeon Valley. We finish the day with a visit to Uchisar Castle where you will have a great opportunity for a panoramic view of Cappadocia. At the end of the tour you will drive back to your cave hotel and check in.

Day 2 Cappadocia to Istanbul

You will be picked up at approximately 9.30am, and we will start the day with a visit to Esentepe, a popular spot for enjoying a panoramic view of Göreme and its fairy chimneys and unique rock formations.

We will then drive to Derinkuyu Underground City, one of the Cappadocia’s many underground cities. As you explore, your guide will regale you with tales of the lives of the early Christians who built this city as a place to hide. You'll be impressed by the facilities, which include stables, cellars, chapels and wineries. 

Continue on to Ihlara Valley where we you will have the option to hike a section of the valley which contains many tiny churches cut into the rocks, along the way. Lunch will be at charming Belisirma Village where you will have a chance to chill and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. After lunch, we visit Selime Monastery, the biggest rock-cut cathedral in Cappadocia. After the tour, you will be transferred to Kayseri Airport for your flight back to Istanbul. You will be met on arrival and transferred back to your Istanbul hotel.
