About this activity
Day 1: Istanbul, arrival
On your arrival to Ataturk airport, our driver will welcome you with a sign your names written on. Then you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Byzantine Relics Tour
Pick up in the morning and head directly to ST. SOPHIA which is an ancient basilica built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in 6th century. This old monument is wonderful and eye-catching. The second site we visit is SULTANAHMET Imperial Mosque which is built in 16th century and known as Blue Mosque due to its fascinating interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. HIPPODROME is the next place to visit. This monument was a circus and was the sporting and social centre of Constantinople, capital of Byzantine Empire. After move on to the Grand Covered Bazaar, undoubtedly one of the best markets in the world in terms of age and dimension.
Day 3: Northern Cappadocia Tour
Early morning hotel pick-up to take a flight from to Cappadocia. Then meet your guide and join Regional tour including the main attractions of Cappadocia. Visit Pasabag which is famous for the mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys with double and triple rock caps. Explore the lunar landscape at Devrent Valley; enjoy delicious lunch at a local restaurant and continue to the to Goreme open air Museum. There you will visit numerous rock-cut churches with incredible paintings on the walls and ceiling. Then drive to the old Greek vıillage Cavusin, watch live pottery demonstration in Avanos town, enjoy spectacular views of Uchisar castle.
Day 4: Southern Cappadocia Tour & Hot Air Balloon Flight
Early in the morning enjoy hot air balloon ride over scenic Cappadocia. Hot air balloon flight is an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Come back to your hotel and have breakfast. At about 9:30 am you will be picked up from the hotel for a Green Tour. Visit the famous Derinkuyu underground city. It is the deepest of the discovered underground cities in Cappadocia reaching the depth of about 85 meters. This multi-level underground city could accommodate approximately 20 000 people. After Derinkuyu explore Ihlara valley and Melendiz river. Ihlara valley is a 14km long gorge made of the same soft volcanic rock found throughout the Cappadocia. Walk through the vineyards and pistachio trees, enjoy relaxing sounds of flowing water and all the way observe the rich fauna of an area. After hiking be ready for a delicious lunch at a restaurant over Melendiz river. Enjoy traditional Turkish foods cooked by the locals. The last place to visit is Selime Monastery, amazing huge fairy chimney. It is a must-see place while you are in Cappadocia because of its size and interesting structure.
Day 5: Istanbul, departure
According to your flight time we will transfer you to the airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul.
