Pilane Scultturepark is nominated as one of Europe’s 10 best sculpture parks!
Around the burial grounds, a sculpture exhibition has been displaying art works by leading artists from round the globe since 2007. You will walk among grazing sheeps and there are no manmade trails, (comfortable shoes are recommended).
4500 years old traces of settlements have been found here. You can still see parts of graves and the stone circles known as “judges’ rings”. They are dated to 500 years B.C.

In central town Skärhamn there is a lively port, arts & crafts, shops, restaurants and cafés. You choose how you want to spend your time here. Almost in the centre there is a nice beach if you prefer to sunbathe or have a swim.
You might prefer to visit The Nordic Watercolour Museum, (not included, price 100 SEK /adult). The museum is internationally well known and price awarded - they show both international and Swedish art. The building is fascinating and situated almost on the sea, surrounded by the beautiful cliffs of Bohuslän.
