Santa's Village is the only Christmas park in Brazil and the official home of the good old man in South America. Parque Knorr, created in 1940 by Oscar Knorr, has a breathtaking view of the Valley of Quilombo and, with all the attractions of Aldeia, is one of the main sights of Gramado / Rio Grande do Sul. In 2006, Santa was very happy with his reindeer that flew from Northern Europe to the Village and have charmed his esteemed audience. The park has many pines of more than one hundred years lit by 500,000 lamps. In the park was built the first and best known house in Bavarian style of the region, with adornments and carvings of European culture and frescoes of an Italian painter. It is where Santa Claus resides, with his bedroom, correspondence office, kitchen, dining room and other rooms decorated with Christmas motifs. In the 700 square meter pavilion, the Toy Factory is installed, with electronic dolls, a giant bear, the first Christmas ball maker in Brazil, a lookout for the Quilombo Valley and a snack bar. In the park, you will find the beautiful Pyramid of Christmas, Toy Museum, Bears Chalet (with bears in motion), Carousel, Snow Square (with artificial snow that makes the tourists happy), Fountain on the main lawn, Bandstand, Nativity scene with puppets, Oratory, Miniatures House, Santa Claus's Garage and a little train that runs through all the paths of the park for the convenience of the visitors. The Santa Claus Village is the only Christmas Park in Brazil open all year for visitation.
