Albayzín walking tour

Albayzín is the ancient town containing the most beautiful sites of Granada. The striking views of the Alhambra with the snow topped Sierra Nevada Mountains blending into the unique landscape of the city and its surrounding. The tour takes us further through San Nicolás Square where we will find our local Mosque ‘Mezquita Mayor de Granada’. As we walk from the Albayzín to Sacromonte area to discover more ancestral and ‘sacred’ secrets of our city, we catch glimpses of the views from different angles and locations. And we end with a visit to the old cave homes and popular flamenco traditions of Granada.

Your guide will provide a historical account with insight into the different areas and specific buildings within the Historical Center and the Albaycin. At the end of the tour, a free tea or lemonade will be provided at the lively Moroccan ‘souq’ shopping street.

Starting point

The tour will beguin at Plaza Nueva square in Granada's pedestrian centre, close to the souq areas.

The touc is carried out in English, Spanish, we can also provide German, French and Arabic if there is a majority interested on a particular date.
