About this activity
Explore the stunning, cavernous underworld that exists just outside Granada with a guided caving experience that's fun and safe no matter your level of skill. Rappel about 65 feet (20 m) beneath the surface and immerse yourself in an ethereal environment that few get to see.

After convenient pickup from the Granada city center, take a relaxing drive to the quaint municipality of Nivar. Meeting your guide and getting familiar with your equipment. There's no need for previous caving experience or technical knowledge—your experienced guide helps you learn everything you need to know along the way.

Spend some time walking over rocky terrain to the entrance of the Nivar Cave, where you begin a route that includes rappelling, sliding, and navigating a few narrow passageways. Go at your own pace and benefit from watchful guidance throughout the trek, negotiating every turn with care.

Marvel at views of stalactites, stalagmites, and jagged rock formations along the way—this underground realm never ceases to amaze. Reach the end of the cave and stop for relaxing.

Your day ends with a relaxing tea or coffee with muffins and snaks, then ride back to the city center.

The cave is NOT the one in the photo. I signed up 2 men in their 70s and I am chubby. They should have rejected us instead they shoved us down a small crack and I got stuck about 5 minutes into the cave. I had to rock climb up 65 feet with a rope and one of the guides. My two men continued on and both came back covered in cuts and bleeding. One got an infection from the bacteria in the cave. The cave IS NOT SAFE nor is it for beginners. There were serious drop-offs everywhere and difficult climbing. Company did not reply to my request for refunds for myself as I could not complete the cave as my weight caused me to physically not fit and the lack of safety for my two older gentlemen. On the positive note the guides were extremely good at caving and they got my boys out alive. They were very unprofessional, sorry but head banger music in a run down van is not my idea of professional transportation. The equipment was ratty too. Save your money and life...move on from this group and see the show cave by the beach.
