About this activity
Your St Barts day trip begins in either Marigot or Oyster Bay, depending on the day of your tour. Check in with your passport (St Barts is a French territory), and then board the Voyager 3, a modern, high-speed ferry boat that features air conditioning and provided drinks on board. Specially designed to travel across the sea, the catamaran offers a comfortable ride with minimal bouncing.

The ride south from St Martin — approximately 60 minutes from Marigot or 30 minutes from Oyster Bay — ends in Gustavia, the capital of St Barts, where you are picked up by minivan and taken to your Mini Cooper. Hop in your 2-door convertible and take off, following your guide around the island to see top attractions like white-sand beaches, historical sites and fancy villas owned by celebrities and billionaires.

During the 2.5-hour tour, stop for photo ops and take in views of the tropical foliage and sparkling Caribbean. Your Mini adventure ends in Gustavia, where you’ll sit down to lunch at a local bistro. While you enjoy a meal of French-influenced island cuisine, relax on a terrace overlooking the red-roofed town center and marina lined with luxury yachts.

After lunch, you have about 2.5 hours of free time to spend in Gustavia on your own. With the help of your provided walking map of town, you can explore chic boutiques and jewelry stores, check out the Wall House Museum to see historical artifacts or visit the old fort. If you’re in the mood to swim or snorkel (snorkeling gear provided), walk to Shell Beach, named for the pink seashells that cover the shore. Or maybe you just want to enjoy a drink or two at a tony waterfront cafe. (Entrance fees, food and drinks are at your own expense.)

At the designated time, head back to the ferry terminal for the return ride to St Martin.
