About this activity
Your St Barts independent day trip starts in either Marigot or Oyster Bay, depending on the day of your tour. After checking in with your passport (St Barts is a French territory), hop on the Voyager 3, a modern, high-speed ferry boat with air conditioning and drinks included on board. Specially designed to travel across the sea, the catamaran provides a comfortable ride with minimal bouncing.

Cruise south of St Martin for approximately 60 minutes from Marigot or 30 minutes from Oyster Bay. The ferry drops you off in Gustavia, the island’s small capital, where you are picked up by minivan and taken to your ATV. How you spend your ATV time is your decision — you are free to roam the island both on-road and off. You will be given a scavenger hunt map that you can use if you want to add a game element to your sightseeing. It’s up to you.

After about 2.5 hours of exploring St Barts’ white-sand beaches, hilltop viewpoints and fancy villas, head back to Gustavia, where you’ll sit down to lunch at a local bistro. (You're given directions to the venue prior to your departure on the ATV.) While you enjoy a meal of French-influenced island cuisine, relax on a terrace overlooking the red-roofed town center and marina lined with luxury yachts.

Next, you have about 2.5 hours of free time to get to know Gustavia on your own. You will have access to your ATV for the rest of the day so you can continue exploring on your ATV or hop off and continue on foot! With the help of your provided walking map of town, stroll past the many chic boutiques and jewelry stores, check out the Wall House Museum to see historical artifacts or visit the old fort. If you’re in the mood to swim or snorkel (snorkeling gear provided), walk to Shell Beach, named for the pink seashells that cover the shore. Or perhaps you just want to enjoy a drink or two at a tony waterfront cafe. (Entrance fees, food and drinks are at your own expense.) You can also drive to any other beach on your ATV!

At the designated time, head back to the ferry terminal for the return ride to St Martin.
