About this activity

Antica Fattoria La Parrina is a very historical farm that lies among the hills of southern Tuscany, specifically in Maremma. Monte Argentario and the beaches of Giannella and Feniglia which are separated by the lagoon of Orbetello form its unique landscape.

Here guests may have a relaxing and salutary walk among the vineyards and then a visit to the wine factory, or maybe they can do some horse-riding among the olive and fruit trees, even by night, and therefore enjoy the wonderful countryside under the light of the moon. In addition, it is possible to have a guided wine and cheese tasting, or even participate to cooking classes with professional chefs (all the products come from the farm). Another prominent thing to mention is that there are 65 hectares of vineyard at Parrina, hectares where they cultivate white and red grapes. Sangiovese is the tradition vine for red and rosée wines while Trebbiano, Ansonica and Vermentino are the typical grapes used to produce white wines. A passionate research in order to best exploit the great potential of this area has led to the introduction of new vines, such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon or Sauvignon Blanc.

At the entrance, before leaving....

At the entrance, you will be welcomed by the perfumes of the aromatic herbs cultivated in the garden. The shop is stocked everyday with fresh—picked fruit and vegetables in order to preserve their aromas and genuine flavour. Qualified personnel will help you in the purchase of each single product: wine, honey, oil, cheese, confitures that can be matched with cheese or tasted with bread, organic eggs, pasta, spirits and vinegars produced with the wine made here, cosmetics with wine polifenoli and much more.
Before leaving, they advise guests to visit the garden centre which boasts decades of proven experience in producing Mediterranean plants. Little by little the collection has also been enriched with specimens from South Africa, California and Australia. The garden centre production extends today on an area of 7 hectares where flower brushes, citrus trees, plants for dry gardens, plants for shadow, morning glories, roses, oleanders and decorative trees are cultivated.

A stay in Parrina, then, becomes a voyage through time in a country residence scenario, a return to a balance between man and territory. A frame which seems to protect the genuineness of this historical farm where rhythms are given by nature, since ever.

Experience a farm and winery tour with the tasting of 4 wines and 4 cheeses.
