Amazing value!!! And our guide was great! She is a professional translator and tour guide, and we had a relaxed and fun tour with her. She answered all our questions, offered interesting insights, and ordered our dim sum lunch for us. The tour desk was easy to find in Guangzhou airport up near Gate 20, and the staff there spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. The bus seats about 20 people, and was clean and modern, with air conditioning and seat belts. The driver was very skilled. I like that the tour began with the most modern part of the city 40 minutes from airport comfortable ride. We visited the main square near Canton Tower, the Opera House, main library, tall skyscrapers, and Guangzhou Museum. We did not enter those buildings on this tour, but our guide had lots of information about their architecture. Then she gave us 10 minutes to explore the square, and it was easy to find her again. Back on the bus for another drive, which took us to the very traditional and beautiful folk arts museum. Museum tickets were included in the tour price, and our guide arranged our entry and showed us around while answering questions about the history and art. Then she gave us 15 minutes to explore, take pictures, and buy souvenirs she offered to help us in the gift shop if we wanted. Really beautiful museum, partly outdoors. Back on the bus, and visited a popular outdoor flower park with Guangzhou's Five Rams statue. Our guide explained the good luck legend of the Five Rams, and showed us part of the 1000 year old city wall nearby. The statue was on a hill, but the stairs and slope were well maintained and safe. Finally we drove to a modern restaurant for a really big dim sum lunch. Again, this tour has amazing value - the meal was included in the tour price!! Our guide seemed to be good friends with the staff there many came by to say hello and she helped us order foods we would like -- a fun variety but nothing too strange. She recommended many of her own favourites. So much tasty food! : We chatted during lunch -- it was relaxed and comfortable. Then we went back to the airport, and were dropped off where we started Gate 20 tour desk... where the desk staff helped us find our hotel shuttle. The tour was from 8:30am or a little after to 2pm. I am impressed by Guangzhou and want to come back. I recommend this tour to anyone! It was excellent.
