1 day Yangshuo Countryside Cycling Tour

Meet your guide for bike set up and a tour briefing at our shop in central Yangshuo. We'll make sure you are fitted out with a well maintained bike of the right type and size before we head into the countryside for the day. Within minutes we'll be cycling along the emerald green Li River on quiet leafy roads before we make our way to secluded villages on small tracks and trails. In the smaller villages, life goes on despite an unprecedented period of turmoil and growth, with local farmers still deeply connected to their land and culture. You'll see the vast changes across rural China with motorbikes alongside water buffalo, mechanised machinery versus hand planting and the evolution of crops from rice to fruit orchards. We'll visit Qing dynasty era stone bridges and villages along the beautiful Yulong River Valley before we stop for a local lunch of seasonal specialities that show off the unique flavours that are famous to the region. For the entire day, the simply stunning karst mountains that Yangshuo is famous for is yours to explore as we ride through areas that can only be accessed by bike. Along the way you'll learn about the geography of the region, hear some of the startling stories of it's history, meet some of the friendly locals, and lose yourself in one of the world's most beautiful landscapes.
