8:00am - 8:45am Hotel Pickup
Your guide/driver will pick you up during the time window. If your hotel is not located in downtown Guilin, your guide/driver will notify you the designated pickup time the night before the departure date.
8:45am - 11:00am Guilin to Longji
Longji is 62 mi/100 km away from downtown Guiln, which is about 2 hours drive. Your vehicle will make a 10-minute stop at a service station halfway where you can take a break and stretch. Along the way, you will see beautiful villages and orchards sprawling on both sides of the road.
11:00 am - 12:00 pm Huangluo and Yaozhai Ethnic Minority Villages
This is the first highlight of the day. You will enjoy an unique ethnic long-hair swaying dance performance. Local ethnic minority females start growing their long hair from the age of 12 and remain untrimmed. There are almost 120 women in the village and 80 of them are with 1.4-meter-long hair.
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Lunch Break
Enjoy local flavored lunch including steamed rice in bamboos trunk at a local restaurant.
1:00 pm - 4:30 pm Ping’an Village of Zhuang Ethnic Minority Group and Longji Rice Terraces
After lunch break, take another 30-minute drive to arrive at Ping’an Village of Zhuang Ethnic Minority Group. It is the most famous village in Longji region to see rice terraces. You will climb the mountain from parking lot for about 30 minutes before reaching Ping’an Village where Zhuang ethnic minority lives.
Next, continue hiking to your first vista point, Nine Dragons and Five Tigers, and then moving on to second vista point, Seven Stars and the Moon, where most pictures of Longji Rice Terraces seen on the internet space were taken at. You will stay at these two vista points for half an hour each to take as many amazing pictures as you wish.
4:30 pm - 7:00pm Back to original pickup point in downtown Gulilin
Optional Tour
If you would like to take an ad hoc Guilin City Evening Tour, a night cruise on Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenery area for evening show which is a good opportunity to see the city lights, it will take approximately 1 hour with the additional cost of USD$30 per person. The evening cruise departs at 7:30pm, 8:40pm, and 9:50pm. You may book it with your guide/driver directly.
