Short stop at the 60th degree parallel north, also known as the border of the Yukon Territory.

Private tour guided by the local staff at the Da Ku Cultural Center to learn about the history and heritage of the route just traveled along. Da Ku is the premier First Nation Cultural Center in Haines Junction with one of the most magnificent maps of the region ever created. The tour of the Da Ku Cultural Center will be followed up with a visit to the Parks Canada Visitor Centre to learn about the flora and fauna that make up the Yukon and Kluane National Park region.

Our return trip will take us back through the Kluane National Park and Reserve which offers breathtaking views and an abundance of wildlife.

Stop At: Pleasant Camp Border Crossing, Stikine Region, BC V0W, Canada

After re-entry into the US, a short stop will be made at the more than 100 year-old Dalton Cache trading post. This historic post was built by Jack Dalton in the 1890s to trade goods and supplies to the gold seekers heading up to the Yukon. Today, the post rests just a matter of feet from US / Canada boarder line and you can actually stand with one foot in either country!
