Historical sightseeing tour in Hamburg
In this beautiful classic tour we would like to introduce you to the origins of the beautiful Hanseatic city and tell you how it all began. Of course we will also show you the magnificent town hall, which was built in 1897. You will learn how the old Hammaburg, with just under 800 inhabitants, has developed into one of the richest cities in Germany, now with just under 1.86 million inhabitants. In the city centre we visit beautiful passages and learn where the Jungfernstieg gets its name from.
Afterwards we continue to the oldest harbour basin of the city and walk past the Nikolai church, which was destroyed in the 2nd World War and only stands as a memorial. We also stroll through the beautiful Deichstraße to the rustic Krameramtsstuben, which are hidden behind the landmark of the city, the Michel.
