Pass By: Waikato River Explorer, Hamilton New Zealand
Departing Hamilton Gardens, the vessel heads downstream on this fast-flowing hydro waterway through Hamilton City as far as Hamilton's famous landmark, The Claudelands Bridge, then back upstream, stopping off in the CBD before returning to the River Ferry Terminal at Hamilton Gardens.
Our Skippers provide an entertaining commentary telling the story of the region, and pointing out various landmarks including the many Sculptures and Art Installations, the site of the first European landings in the mid 1860s and the vessel they arrived on which is still sitting up on the riverbank.
Our Cafe Menu includes Toasted Paninis, Pulled Beef Nachos, Homebaked Fritatta, Sliders and our popular Smoked Chicken Salad. A selection of delicious Muffins, Cookies and Slices are also available along with Espresso Coffee, Tea & Chocolate.
Other Snack Food is available and the Bar onboard is fully-licensed.
