Local Life of Hangzhou-Baoshi Mountain Night Climb
At 6:30pm we will meet at Fengqi Road Metro Station. Passing through the crowd of those getting off work, we will arrive at the foot of the secluded Baoshi Mountain to begin our night climbing journey. Walking along a stone path, passing under a stone arch and by an elegant coffee shop, we come to the base of Baochu Pagoda one of West Lake’s twin towers. This tower is a 1000-year-old stone pagoda. Here can be seen the changes over the last thousand years both in Hangzhou and in China. Afterwards we will pass through the crevices taking a stone path down one of West Lake’s best scenic spots, Toad Rock. Here there are no trees to block the view, it is possible to see the entirety of West Lake and the bright city of Hangzhou. After enjoying the beautiful view of West Lake at night, we will walk along the road, passing a Taoist Shrine—including Baopu Courtyard, Ziyun Cave, Qixia Cave, and more, as well as historical Buddhist stone statues. After two hours, we will return to the metro station to finish this wonderful night climb.
