Cao Son Market and Local Hilltribe Village Day Trip from Sapa

You will enjoy the breath-taking views along the winding ride up to Muong Khuong, a small trading town near Chinese border, 50 kms to the Northeast of Lao Cai. From there you turn to a dirt road climbing up in the mountains for another 23 kms before reaching the tiny market. Here you will have a great opportunity to see the Nung, Flower H’mong, Black Dao, Tu Di and Giay minorities, who not only gather for purchasing local products, but also for exchanging gossip and experiences on all aspects of life such as farming, caring for animals and even finding partners.

In the afternoon you will engage in deeply in the minorities’ cultures by visiting their villages. You will take an easy 2-hour walk through a peaceful and marvellous valley. On the way you will visit a village of Nung minority and a village of Flower H’mong minority.

You than get on your car for the journey back.
