The shuttle is so packed with no single spare seat with over 20 guests (the company combined 2 tours into 1 bus making things too congested); Food on the boat is cold and no good, portion is small also not enough for all; cannot feel the attentive service of tour guide as mentioned in the tour description, as this is supposed a bit more expensive than other 1 Day tour to HaLong Bay. But the condition of boat is good and nice.

It was a long journey from Hanoi - not suitable for those who cannot take long journey on th ebus. The bus we were in was a bit old and shaky hence not that comfortable. Scenery is nice and the short bamboo boat ride is quite fun.

A wonderful tour and day out in Halong Bay...we loved it. Although the trip was very long, 3.5hrs...we were collected promptly and were very comfy in a 16 seater bus, with a small group of 16 and we had the pleasure of an outstanding guide Thang. He provided us with good interesting information all along the way making the day a really great experience. The operator was Phoenix Tours/Cruises...the boat a really nice one, and the lunch scrumptious, the quality of the meal really very good...and plentiful. A very pleasant cruise, then a visit to a floating village and a wonderful bamboo boat ride...so tranquil, beautiful and serene with the majestic limestone karsts towering above us, and finally a visit to the spectacular Heavenly Cave...wow, it was all just stunning. After 4 hours we headed back to the bus, and the long trip back. A stop halfway at a handicraft store gave us the chance to stretch our legs and we returned around 8.30pm. Thang was a fabulous young man and added to our enjoyment of the day so much. Thank you Thang! We highly recommend this tour, and believe that this particular tour was a great option for a Halong Bay experience.

This tour was advertised as more of a luxury experience which was deceptive. If you are trying to avoid the typical tourist traps, you won't avoid them even with this option. Some positives were that it was nice because we were 10 people and had the boat to ourselves. The lunch was delicious.

Good second day tour after doing a 1 day tour of Hanoi. The bus ride is long 3 hr and road rough at times, as you might expect for a developing country. Weather was pleasant for the Junk boat trip to the beautiful limestone islands. Lunch on the boat was ok, some food cold, but everything was edible. Bamboo boat ride through a cave and among the islands was a great experience. The women rowers are strong and friendly. Be sure to give them a tip. Only complaint is the length of time at the bus stopovers for shopping. The break is needed, but not 25 mins. Beautiful merchandise but prices are far too high.
