Day 1: DAY 1: HANOI – HA GIANG CITY (B, L, D)

Stop At: Thon Tha Village, Thon Tha village, Phuong Do Commune Thon Tha village, Phuong Do district, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
7:30 am, Our guide will pick-up you from your hotel in Hanoi, start to go to Ha Giang city.

Around 14h, you will arrive Thon Tha village –5km from Ha Giang city- a peaceful village of Tay ethnic people who always live in a stilt-house thatched roof. We can spend around 2-3hrs this afternoon for trekking in Thon Tha – through the amazing rice fields, the palm forests, waterfall and villages to explore the local life & culture of Tay people, their farming work as well as the natural. Far away from the crowds and experience a homestay in a traditional Vietnamese Tay home. Learn and participate in the Ha Giang village life and truly feel the warmth and hospitality of these incredibly nice people.

Day 2: DAY 2: HA GIANG – QUAN BA – DONG VAN (B, L, D)

Stop At: Quan Ba ​​Heaven Gate, Quản Bạ, Quản Bạ District, Ha Giang, Vietnam
7:30 am, after breakfast, leave homestay, we transfer by car to the Quan Ba heaven gate. We start trekking from here to the Nam Dam village – the inhabited by Dao ethnic people (long dress Dao group). The local still keep their traditional customs, habits & culture from ancient times. Beautiful hiking trails through the verdant and hill, seasonal farmlands, the vista view of villages and lake. You will have a chance to see the local traditional house made of compacted soil which protects people from the extreme weather in the high mountain. You are welcomed to visit the houses whose owners are very friendly and hospitable. As you walk in the village, you will have the opportunity to observe the daily life of the Dao people.

After the walk, you will have lunch in a homestay of Dao ethnic people.

Leaving Nam Dam village, our driver will transfer you to Dong Van. Our trip through the stunning winding roads, through the rocky karst mountains, old traditional houses of Hmong – ethnic people. It’s once again a very enjoyable ride today that you will see amazing mountain view of the Rock Plateau.

If we drive in the spring (February-March), this land will be bright with the color of Pink tree – the traditional flower in Tet holiday in Vietnam. If you travel in September to November, you will be surprised by the beauty of a local flower – The Buckwheat flower. Travel in April to June, it’s the green color of large corn fields.

Stop and visit the infamous Vuong Palace, Vuong Family was considered the King of the Hmong People in Dong Van, Ha Giang. Their residence was built in the scenic valley of Sa Phin with Chinese architecture. You will explore the history of Hmong people in Dong Van in the French colonic period – the special frontier area.

Arrive Dong Van, take a comfortable sleep in Hotel.

You have a free night to walking, enjoying coffee and mountain atmosphere in Dong Van Old Quarter.

Stop At: Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, Sa Phin, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam

Day 3: DAY 3: DONG VAN – MA PI LENG – MEO VAC (B, L, D)

Stop At: Ma Pi Leng Pass, Near Meo Vac Town, Dong Van, Ha Giang 310000 Vietnam
After 3,5-4hrs, we will reach the main road, transfer by car and continue trekking to the peak of Ma Pi Leng pass which gives stunning views of the mountains and sweeping valleys, with the poetic Nho Que river. You will be disappointed when trekking on the Sky Path – the path lies on the Rock mountain and rural village.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Meo Vac District People's Committee, TT. Mèo Vạc, Mèo Vạc, Hà Giang, Vietnam
After 2,5-3hrs, you will reach the main road and be transferred to Meo Vac where you will sleep in a hotel or homestay of Lo Lo people.

Duration: 2 hours

Day 4: DAY 4: MEO VAC – QUAN BA

Stop At: Meo Vac market, TT. Mèo Vạc, Mèo Vạc, Hà Giang, Vietnam
If it’s Sunday, you can have a chance to enjoy the unique and special local Market in Meo Vac, it’s held on Sunday and be called SUNDAY MARKET. There are very colorful and various culture of ethnic minorities, it will be a special experience for you.

Day 5: DAY 5: QUAN BA– HANOI

Stop At: Lung Cu Flag Tower, Dragon Mountain Lung Cu Peak, Ha Giang 29000 Vietnam
Visit The Lung Cu National Flag Tower. It’s considered as the North Point of Vietnam. Before reach Lung Cu, we will pass the stunning scenery of Rock Plateau. We are rewarded with a brilliant backdrop of picturesque valleys covered in rice paddies. After visiting the tower, you will visit the culture village of Lo Lo people – one of the minority ethnic people in the Frontier area.
