Trekking in Mai Chau - Pu Luong 3 days 2 nights

Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Pu Luong (L/D)
Your tour guide will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi to begin the drive to Mai Chau with spectacular views around every bend. Upon arrival at Pom Coong village in Mai Chau, you can take a short walk to visit the Thai people in the village before having lunch in a local home. After lunch, you will start trekking through the lush forests of Pu Luong Nature Reserve. In the evening you can discover more about the everyday life and culture of the White Thai people as you have dinner and spend the night with a local family in a traditional wooden stilt house. 
Trekking route: Pa Van – Kho Muong ~ 7- 10km. 
Day 2: Trek To Kho Muong Village (B/L/D)
Today, if you rise early, you can enjoy the sun rising up from behind the mountains and shining down on the farmers as they begin another day of hard graft in the fields. If you like, you can even join the farmers in their morning activities to get a real feel for life in rural Vietnam. After having breakfast with the Thai people, you will begin a 5- 6-hour trek. The first stretch is hard with some steep climbs and some stream crossings, but it is worth as it the next stretch has glorious views of the valley, rice terraces, rich rainforests and streams. You will stop for a picnic lunch on the way at Hin Village. The trek will lead you to Hieu Village which is possibly the most beautiful village in Vietnam. You can stroll around the village and join the villagers as they go about their daily lives, or relax in one of the three eco homestays set up by FFI (Flora and Fauna International) in conjunction with the local villages. You will have time to drink in the tranquil ambience of Kho Muong and socialise with the friendly locals as you spend the night in the village in traditional Thai style eco – stilt house.
Trekking route: Kho Muong - Hieu ~ 12 - 15km. 
Day 3: Mai Chau - Hanoi (B/L/D)
Today you will trek for another 3 hours, starting with a nice easy stretch, giving you the chance to relax and connect with your surroundings. You will take short rest in Ban Hieu Village and then continue trekking with some steep climbs to tackle and yet more streams to cross. Again, this will open up into fantastic views of the valley below. You will then move to Pho Doan Village. You can take some time to rest before getting back to the main road where the driver will be waiting to collect you. After lunch in local restaurant, you will have a little more time to rest or walk around the village before departing for Hanoi. You will arrive back in Hanoi at your hotel in the late afternoon.
