Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival

Stop At: Hanoi Transfer Service, Hanoi
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, you’ll be welcomed by our experienced guide and transferred to downtown. Check into your hotel and refresh after a long-haul flight.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Ninh Binh/ Van Long Nature Reserve Swamp (Breakfast)

Stop At: Van Long Nature Reserve, Ninh Binh, Ninh Binh Province
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the beautiful Ninh Binh Province. After a two-hour drive, arrive in Van Long and meet your wildlife guide. Climb up to “Cat Scratch” mountain – the home of delacour’s langurs (in Vietnamese, called Vooc) - the precious animal in the World Red Book. Then reach Van Long Wharf where you will have a boat trip along the reservoir of Van Long Nature Reserve – the largest wetland of Northern Vietnam. The green poetic landscape with many kinds of animals will provide you with wonderful opportunities for nice photos.
Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 3: Ninh Binh/ Van Long Nature Reserve Swamp – Train to Dong Hoi (Breakfast)

Stop At: Van Long Nature Reserve, Ninh Binh, Ninh Binh Province
You will have another day in the Van Long area to continue searching for delacour’s langurs. Instead of climbing, you will row a boat deep into the Van Long Swamp where the primate searches for food and drinks water.
Boat ride is in the early morning and mid-afternoon.
In the evening, you will check-out of your hotel at 20:00 and be transferred to the train station for a night train to Dong Hoi An. Overnight on the train.

Day 4: Phong Nha National Park & Ha Tinh Langurs (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Stop At: Phong Nha Caves, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province
Arrive at Dong Hoi railway station at 6:00am, you’re met by our guide and will have breakfast at a local restaurant before making your way to Phong Nha National Park. In recent years, there have been many reports on the occurrence of Ha Tinh Langurs in Minh Hoa, Bo Trach, and Tuyen Hoa – the districts belonging to this protected National Park. This black langur, distinguished by its white moustache and sideburns that extend behind the ears to the nape, inhabits the limestone forests of the Central Annamite Mountains and the most important population is in the Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park.
You’ll have a full day to enjoy the wonderful limestone karst landscape of Phong Nha where the main target species is the range-restricted Ha Tinh Langur. Overnight at Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.

Day 5: : Phong Nha National Park & Ha Tinh Langurs (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Stop At: Phong Nha Caves, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province
Another full day with transfer around 80km each way deeper into the National Park to search for Ha Tinh Langur. Overnight at Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.

Day 6: Phong Nha National Park & Caves (Breakfast)

Stop At: Phong Nha Caves, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province
Take a boat trip to visit Phong Nha Cave. This cave is 7729 m long, contains 14 grottos, with a 13,969 m-long under-ground river. The scientists have surveyed 44.5 km of grottos in this cave so far, but tourists can only penetrate to a distance of 1500m.
In the afternoon, you will continue to explore Paradise Grotto which is an amazing cave with various shapes of stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is the longest cave in South East Asia (31km) and was found by the farmer Ho Khanh in 2005. Overnight at a farmstay in Phong Nha National Park.

Day 7: Phong Nha National Park – Danang (Breakfast)

Pass By: Phong Nha Caves, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province
After breakfast, you will be free in Phong Nha National Park until check-out time when you’ll drive to Danang. This route will take around 7 hours. Stop on the way to visit the historical sites of Khe Sanh Combat, Ho Chi Minh Trail, Rock Pile, Quang Tri Old Citadel, and others. Arrival in Danang late afternoon, check in to your hotel and overnight in Danang.

Day 8: Danang – Son Tra Peninsula (Breakfast)

Stop At: Son Tra Mountain (Monkey Mountain), Da Nang
Early morning, drive to Son Tra Nature Reserve to search for one of Asia’s most beautiful primates, the Red-shanked Douc Langur. Walk into the Reserve area where you can see the beautiful creatures on top of trees. You’ll have many opportunities to take photo shoots and enjoy their beauty. Return to your hotel for breakfast.
Another observation will be arranged by mid-afternoon.
Overnight in Danang.

Day 9: Danang – Son Tra Peninsula (Breakfast)

Stop At: Son Tra Peninsula’s Banyan Tree, Da Nang
If you prefer to see the primate again, wake up early and follow our guide to the reserve area again. Observe sunrise over the sea before returning to your hotel for breakfast.
Afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight in Danang.

Day 10: Danang - Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi – Departure (Breakfast)
