Bara Bazaar (1 hour)

Walk through the narrow lanes of the market and take in the colorful wares on display. There are several shops that sell articles used in religious ceremonies. Also on display are local crafts and souvenirs.

Mansa Devi Temple (1 hour)

Take a ride in a cable car to Mansa Devi Temple that is situated on top of the Shivalik Hills. The temple is considered to be the holy abode of the Hindu Goddess Shakti who is believed to have emerged from the mind of the sage, Kashyap. To get their wishes fulfilled, pilgrims tie threads to a tree in the temple premises. Once their wish is fulfilled, they return to untie the thread.

Shantikunj Ashram (1 hour)

This Hindu monastery offers a view into some of the rituals that date back to the Vedic times. Situated on the banks of the River Ganges, the monastery is open to people from all faiths who are looking for peace and seeking spiritual guidance.

Jain Temple (1 hour)

This beautiful temple has an intricately carved exterior with fine lattice work and sculptures of Jain Gods. The two story temple is made of yellow stones brought from Rajasthan. The main temple is on the ground floor. The temple also has accommodation facilities for 1000 pilgrims.

Daksha Mahadev Temple (1 hour)

This is the oldest Hindu temple in Haridwar and is dedicated to God Shiva. One of the major attractions of this temple is an ancient tree which is actually a combination of three trees that are intertwined such that it is impossible to identify their original shape. Your guide will share with you the history of this temple.

River Ganges (1 hour)

At dusk wind your way to the banks of the River Ganges to witness the daily prayers, Ganga Aarti. The whole atmosphere reverberates with the chants and hymns that accompany the daily ritual of lighting lamps and offering prayers to the River Ganges. At the end of the prayer ceremony, pilgrims light lamps and set them afloat on the River Ganges.
