. Thousands of people visit the ghats of the Ganga at Har ki Pauri at Haridwar to witness the aarti started several decades ago by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. The tradition continues unabated. The aarti is the sight to behold; You will be on the other side of the banks and could see the priests light up the lamps. The mighty Ganga had a strong current which was indicative of its purpose in life—loving unconditionally all those who come to its banks. The river never uses its own water yet it flows for the benefit of others who quench their spiritual thirst at its banks.
