Former Psychiatric Hospital Guided Tour

Welcome to get acquainted with the rich history of this unique site. We’ll reveal the development of psychiatric care in Finland from the middle ages until today and tell you about the current state of the premises. Lapinlahti hospital itself is the oldest and most famous institute of this kind in Finland and the hospital area is an oasis of culture, alternative art scene and also a haven for the wellbeing of mind and the body.
