Helsinki Culture Day: Fresh Design and Music Experience including Guided Walking Tour

Make your way to the handicraft workshop in central Helsinki at 9am, 11am, or 1pm to meet your instructor and begin your tour. On arrival, enjoy an introduction to the history and importance of upcycling, and learn of the recycling materials you’ll be using during the workshop.
Afterward, create your own wonderful Helsinki-inspired souvenir out of recycled materials. Follow the instructions given or create a unique item based on your own ideas. During the workshop, gain insight into the reasons why upcycling is important to the people of Helsinki.
When your workshop comes to an end, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant (own expense) in the eco-friendly Teurastamo area (near Kalasatama metro station) then visit a selection of design and second-hand stores in Helsinki's hippest area — Kallio. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace, then meet your guide to start your sightseeing walking tour.
Stroll through the streets and parks of Helsinki and discover top attractions including the Esplanades, Kiasma modern art museum, the Presidential Palace, the Rock Church, Senate Square, and 19th-century Uspenski Cathedral. Along the way, admire the impressive Art Nouveau architecture you find and listen to carefully selected traditional Finnish songs.
