This was simply wonderful! We were picked up by Sonja then drove about 40 minutes to the forest. There, she taught us how to canoe and we spent an hour on very still. It was raining a little bit so she gave us these massive rain jackets -- we all stayed warm and dry. After canoeing we went on an easy hike, where Sonja would point out various mushrooms and edible berries (we had a few). We stopped for lunch (sandwiches and sea buckthorn juice), then she drove us back to the pickup spot. I had a lovely time and would recommend this for anyone who wants to explore the forest near Helsinki but doesn't have enough time for a longer hike or for camping. Thank you Sonja!
Great experience nice view and the guide is very accommodating. I highly recommend this tour for a short escape from the city and experience a forest adventure.
