Chrissi Island day cruise from Heraklion

Chrissi (which means "golden") takes its name after the white sand that covers the entire island and mainly comes from shell debris. Chrissi hosts the largest naturally-formed Lebanon cedar forest in Europe and because of its unique ecosystem, it has been included in the Natura 2000 initiative. Your day trip will start from the Heraklion area where you can get pick-up. After approximately 1,5 hours, you will reach Ierapetra to take the boat to Chrissi island (approximately 40 minutes). Take your time to relax on the beach, rent a beach umbrella and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the island, take amazing pictures and explore the inland with a short walk in the cedar forest. You can also buy refreshments or a light lunch at the beach bar. After a day of relaxation and fun, the boat will bring you back to Ierapetra, where your air-conditioned coach will drop you off at your hotel.
