Itinerary
San-lee Tours offers private trips to view the Southern Right whales from the coast of the towns of Hermanus and Gansbaai in the Western Cape. Travellers will be picked up from their accommodation in the morning according to their preferred time and be driven along Clarence Drive, a scenic route along the coast which includes the quaint towns of Pringle Bay and Betty's Bay. This trip takes approximately 2 hours and stops can be made along the way. When arriving in Hermanus, the experienced tour-guide will accompany travellers on a short walking tour (optional) along the coast in Hermanus to view the whales from the coast or travellers can view it from the comfort of the minibus.The trip includes visiting the town of Hermanus. The traveller will also be taking a trip to Gansbaai (approximately a further 30 minutes drive) and taken to a look-out site where whales can be viewed from the coast.
Lunch can be pre-booked if required.Meals and drinks will be for own expense.
The return journey will be along the Elgin/Grabouw route affording travellers another experience of spectacular scenery of wine farms and fruit orchards.
The sighting of whales from the coast is weather dependent*.
