Wear kimono and enjoy tea ceremony

About this activity
Itinerary

We offer high-quality, premium kimonos as well as ceremonial yuzen kimonos created by Zuiko.

Also, we provide yukatas including traditional tie-dyed and Edo style ones and gorgeous Hakata obi-belts.

Dressing is done by experienced kimono instructors accredited by the Japan Kimono Consulting Association.

As you dress up in kimono, next, you will have tea ceremony. Through this experience you will learn how to make a cup of green tea and its drinking manners. We use a table and chairs during the ceremony and show you 'obon-temae' which means tea is prepared on a round tray. We hope that it will be helpful if you wish to have the tea ceremony at home, probably in western style house.

Our atelier is located in a quiet neighborhood and it takes 15 minutes to walk from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Come stop by on your visit to this area if time permits between your sightseeing programs.

※Please bring a T-shirt and short pants as you need to wear them under kimono.

※Please note that items lost or damaged by negligence while in your possession must be compensated.

※ Please indicate your height and shoe size upon booking.
