1-day biking to Vam Sat Eco Centre

Your guide will meet you at your hotel early this morning and you will take a short transfer out of the city in our support vehicle where you will be fitted with your bike and begin today’s ride proper. With a great ride ahead of us, we will head south enjoying the fresh cool morning air. We will begin with a gentle ride heading out of the city heading along a rural road through some great village streets and past bustling markets where locals are going about their daily business, we are soon away from the busy roads and on to quiet hard pack single track lanes. After about an hour we will take a well-earned break and stop at a very local shop for a delicious streaming bowl of Pho and an energizing cup of local Vietnamese coffee before carrying on into evermore rural regions where the trail becomes flanked by fishponds as they are the main income generator in these parts. The sun is rising in the sky but the day is still not hot as we press on through villages across streams, skirting canals saying hello to the friendly residents as we pass by. After some river crossings, by local ferry, water breaks and photo stops we will eventually make our way towards Vam Sat Ecological Centre, here you will pass through

 

 

mangroves along a track before a lunch of a traditional Vietnamese hotpot to share. Visit a lookout tower before making your way back to the finish point just a few kilometres outside the city where a cold drink and vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to the city.
