1-day biking Uncovering Saigon

A representative will pick you up from your hotel before heading to the Former US Ambassador’s house where we will meet the bikes and the team before beginning todays ride. Cycle along the canal banks through the city to the History Museum and Saigon Zoo. Pay a visit to this historic building and learn about a basic Vietnamese and Saigon’s history. Pedal on from History Museum and stop for an energizing local coffee. Stop briefly to visit the Central Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Reunification Palace and Turtle lake, here you will get to learn a little more about the old French district and the significance these buildings have played in recent history. From here we will continue on through the heart of the city past old residential buildings down to Cho Lon or Chinatown as its more famously known. Here we will visit the vibrantly coloured Soai Kinh Lam textile market, Benh Tay Market and other sights of interest including a Chinese Pagoda. Explore the sights and sounds of china town with your guide explaining everything along the way. Begin cycling back to the district 3 and take in bustling Saigon city during the day, we will stop along the way to pay a visit to the hidden Weapon’s house and Thich Quang Duc monument and hear of their significance during more turbulent times. Arrive in time for a local Vietnamese lunch nearby the Ambassadors house. After lunch, you will be transferred to former CIA building in the town to see how the war ended in Saigon before being dropped off at your hotel.
