Stop At: Ben Dinh Tunnels, Cu Chi Near Ben Dinh Village, Ho Chi Minh City 700000 Vietnam
- Pick up at 7am from your hotel in Saigon
- Kick start our exciting day with a pleasant 60-km drive through some nice country areas toward the northwest of Saigon. You are going to visit a massive underground network located near by the area once called "Iron Triangle" and was the termination of the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
- The tunnels were designed and used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. The role of the tunnel systems was so important to the Viet Cong in resisting American operations and protracting the war, eventually persuading the weary Americans into withdrawal.
- Watch a short war documentary film, see other relevant displays, and get through a short stage of the tunnels (optional)
Duration: 3 hours

Enjoyed a full day traveling around Ho Chi Minh city and surrounding areas with a very small, friendly group and our guide, Mr. An. He fought in the Cu Chi tunnels for 11 years when he was a child, and had some amazing insider knowledge of the area and the tunnels. We spent all morning at the tunnels., arriving before the larger tour groups and bypassing the introductory film so we could get up close views and experiences of all the sights. We watched the video before we left for the day, and then stopped for pho at a very nice and clean restaurant before driving through China Town for a while. Next we stopped at the War Remnants Museum, where we had plenty of time to look around at all the exhibits. After the museum, we went to Reunification Palace and were once again given some very detailed and interesting information as we explored the building. And finally, we stopped at the Saigon Norte-Dame Cathedral for a few photos. It was great experience, and I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone with a day to spare in Saigon. Well worth the cost and the time!
Excellent tour. Enough time at all of the locations visited. Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide Mr. Hung and a comfortable brand new air conditioned mini-bus. Thank you!
