07h30 am: Tour guide pick you up your hotel and depart to Cu Chi network covers a wide area of countryside near to Ho Chi Minh city and was an excellent way for the Viet Kong to move undetected by American forces underground. This evocative day tour explores the struggle of everyday life during the Vietnam War from a local perspective and takes you deep underground to explore the tunnels. The Cu Chi tour starts with an introductory video detailing its long 25-year construction. Then it is time to go underground in the infamous 120-mile Cu Chi tunnel system which offered a safe haven for soldiers and thousands of Vietnamese people during the Vietnam War. It is virtually an underground city with dwelling houses, schools, hospitals and factories. On display are booby traps, the remains of a US army tank and huge craters left by American B52 bombs. You will be able to admire lots of compelling photos and personal effects left behind. There is also the chance to play real war games firing an authentic AK rifle used during the war. Drive back to Mekong delta

I had booked this tour seeing really good reviews. Upon booking the tour, as per the Viator voucher, this tour was supposed to be operated by "mekong cruises tours", which has a 5* rating in Tripadvisor with 326 reviews, and is ranked as #11 of 112 Boat Tours and Water Sports in Ho Chi Minh City. However, when our driver picked us up, we realized our tour operator had changed, and our tour was conducted by "Vietnam To Travel", which is a much smaller and newer operator with just 24 reviews on Tripadvisor. We did not expect this from Viator, and are highly disappointed with this unprofessionalism. We were never informed of this change. While the Cu Chi Tunnel part of the tour was good, the Mekong Delta tour was full of tourist traps. I lost count how many shops we visited as part of the tour, where they offered us some items or showed us some things, and then we were asked if we would like to buy some of their products. The actual ride on the canoe in Mekong Delta was just about 10-15 mins, with the rest being stops at various shops. While some might be amused by these "attractions", we were highly disappointed. One last thing that was absolutely unacceptable. Our meal had a dipping sauce for Ban Xeo and Spring Rolls, which had a dead spider floating in it!! While the our tour guide was a cheerful fellow who tried to keep us entertained, some of the jokes were quite inappropriate and sexist. I understand Vietnam might not be the most aware country for such issues, but it'd be best if we can avoid such sexist or inappropriate jokes in future. I'll still give him a thumbs up for his efforts to keep us entertained.
My expectations fell short as i ecoevted to see more on the river. It was a short boat trip for lunch at a floating homestay. I had anticipated seeing more of the life along the river.
I joined this trip as a solo travel with a bit apprehensive however I have to say that I had an amazing time on this trip. The local tour was brilliant, the scenery is spectacular and I had experienced the local lifestyle. I absolutely loved this trip and highly recommend
HIghly recommended mekong delta and cu chi tunnels in one day experiences,Just total 09 person for super small group ,This is the best choice With limited time left it was great to experience both these attractions in one day. Yes a lot of driving and slightly on the expensive side. However, you pay for what you get and we had no ques and a great guide.Many thanks for your wondeful services
Amazing! Highly recommended. Came back this place always makes me so happy - from meeting ppl to learn more about the history. Mekong Delta's food is one of the must-try you that you should never missed. Really love this place and the services.
