Private Can Gio Mangrove Reserve Tour by Speedboat from Ho Chi Minh City

Your day trip starts when your guide meets you at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the morning and drives you to the city's central pier, Bach Dang, to board your speedboat. Then depart the city for the green tributaries of the Mekong Delta. A light breakfast of pastries or sandwiches, tropical fruit, and ca phe sua da (Vietnamese coffee) is served.

Stop by Can Giuoc Market, a bustling riverside market at the gateway to the Mekong Delta, and then watch the surrounding landscape start to change from riverside water palms to dusky mangrove swamps as you move from the delta toward Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve. In the mid-morning, arrive at the Giant Bat Lagoon and explore leisurely on a rowboat before trekking through the mangrove jungle. At midday, eat a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a private riverside location; your meal will include the Mekong Delta specialty, Elephant Ear Fish.

About an hour later, arrive at Vam Sat Ecological Center to visit a crocodile reserve, see monkeys in their natural habitat, watch for exotic and migratory birds, and perhaps enjoy some crab fishing.
