Stop At: Cu Chi Tunnels, Ho Chi Minh City 700000 Vietnam
We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km.
At Cu Chi you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice-paper and rice-wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Mekong Delta, Mekong Delta
After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Turtle. On this part of the tour you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River.
We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy and southern Vietnamese folk music.
At the end of our tour we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 17:00.
Duration: 3 hours

Our guide was fantastic and very informative. We got to the tunnels nice and early so missed the major crowds. We enjoyed our snack of cassava root and green tea at the tunnels, it held us over until lunch. Speaking of lunch...absolutely amazing meal! We were served a whole fried fish and the server showed us how to wrap it in rice paper with all of the correct fixins. During our tour of the Mekong Delta, we were able to visit a bee hive where we got to hold one of the frames covered in bees, it was a really cool experience. Plus we were able to sample some of the products made from the honey. Everyone in our group really enjoyed themselves on this tour, highly recommend.
This was a fun tour, our guide was great and spoke English very well. He definitely does this tour and knew everyone along the way, making a smooth trip. He was very respectful in leaving us to eat and chat amongst ourselves without being pushy. This was a great day trip, I can be picky and this was a great tour...
This is an amazing tour that if you can you should do it! You get to see Vietnam from driving across it to sailing on the Mekong! You also get to wear an authentic straw hat while sailing down a little river.....Food was great throughout and guides were real good!
A brilliantly organised and informative trip. We packed lots of things into a very short time frame. Our private guide was fascinating and so full of information. His English was perfect. A brilliant day and so worth doing.
trip was very good, it is the only trip we found that combines Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta. We enjoyed ourselves.
This trip did exactly what it said on the tin but not worth the money my family of 4 paid for it. You could do this trip much cheaper by booking locally. The time spent on the bus between HCMC, Cu Chi, My Tho and back to HCMC is around 6 hours. Sadly this is not disclosed on the booking page or we may have thought twice. Didn't help that our driver was late to pick us up and then got lost en route as well. Our guide was nice but her English was often hard to understand. They looked underwhelmed by the tips we gave them, I guess they weren't aware that we had already spent close to 350 on our day out with them!
