Day 6: Bruny Island

We journey south of Hobart to Kettering and board the vehicular ferry to cross the D’Entrecasteaux Channel to North Bruny Island. On the island, we stop at “The Neck” home to the Truganini Lookout and its spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the Bruny Island coastline. Also, today we visit South Bruny Island and Adventure Bay, look for some local wildlife (including the white Bennetts wallabies) and sample some fresh local produce including oysters and cheese.

Day 7: Port Arthur

We start with a visit to Australia’s best-preserved colonial village, Richmond before we head south

to explore Tasmania’s ruthless convict past at the World Heritage listed Port Arthur Historic Site

(guided walk and short harbour cruise included). Rich in visual history, learn of the chilling life as a

convict in the restored sandstone prison buildings and preserved ruins.

Day 8: Hobart and Mona Museum

Stop At: Museum of Old and New Art, 655 Main Rd Moorilla Estate, Berriedale, Glenorchy, Tasmania 7011 Australia
Explore today at your leisure, the second oldest Australian capital city and its unique waterfront area of Hobart. Take a stroll around Battery Point and sample the local bakeries and cafes or try some fresh seafood at the docks around Sullivan’s Cove. After lunch, board the ferry and journey up river to Mona (Museum of Old and New Art) and experience one of Tasmania’s most visited attractions. If you are not sure about some of the art, this place has its own brewery and winery.
