Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Mt Wellington Summit Tour

Start the tour with a drive over the Tasman bridge, then along the stunning Derwent river with views of Mount Wellington. Once at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary walk around with your guides as they tell you about Tasmania's unique wildlife. At Bonrong you can explore, feed and simply enjoy Kangaroos, Wombats, Tasmanian Devils, Quolls, Native Birds, Koalas, Lizards, Emus, Snakes and much more. Bonorong Sanctuary is a more than just a place to see animals, their focus is on wildlife rescue with a 24/7 rescue service and wildlife hospital. They are also leaders in conservation, with programs to ensure endangered species are kept safe with breeding / rehabilitation programs in place to grow their numbers for release into the wild.

The morning tour commences from 10am from the Hobart Travel and Information Centre

For lunch, you get one hour on Hobart's Waterfront to choose whatever food takes your fancy, fish n' chips, burgers, sushi, bakery etc.

The afternoon tour commences at 1:30pm at the Hobart Travel and Information Centre.

Embark on a stunning 30-minute drive from Hobart, winding your way up the mountain to the summit of Mt Wellington. From the summit, enjoy a short pinnacle walk to the overhanging lookout where spectacular views of Hobart and the surrounding mountains are obtained.
Learn about Hobart, Tasmania and the mountains, in geologic, environmental and cultural terms. Hear stories of bush rangers and Peter Degraves (founder of Cascade brewery). Stretch your legs and explore the 'Springs" the site of the former springs hotel under the famous Organ Pipes (30-minutes). Finish with a visit to Australia's oldest brewery, Cascade.
