Bruny Island Small-Group Bushwalking Tour from Hobart Including Lunch

Nature Day Tour including Bush Walk to Mars Bluff on the Cape Queen Elizabeth track with Picnic Lunch of local produce. Neck Wildlife Zone & Food Producer visits and tastings.

With a hotel pick up ad drop-off from over 40 locations around the greater Hobart region and short 30 minute drive, following the d’Entrecasteaux channel, to Kettering - the Bruny Island Ferry departs on its short 15 minute crossing to access the Island. The fully guided walking tour starts the walking near the Bruny Island Air Strip. With spectacular views, this is an easy walk within the Bruny Island Neck Game Reserve.
The Cape Queen Elizabeth walk provides coastal heathland, spectacular scenery, Big and Little Lagoons, birdlife, wildlife and sweeping beaches. The first part of the walk takes you along a track parallel with the Bruny Island air-strip, then runs between Big Lagoon and Little Lagoon where we will stop for a billy tea and fudge, before steeply ascending Mars Bluff for stunning views across The Neck and its unspoilt beaches. The track follows the bluff before descending through the dunes onto the remote Miles Beach, with time for a quick dip for those who are keen. Here you can enjoy a casual and delicious packed lunch, featuring local produce. The walk is very educational, back to nature at a relaxing pace or more vigorous if everyone is up for a slightly longer bush walk.
After our walk we drive to the to the viewing platform and lookout at The Neck Wildlife Zone. Followed by a visit to the Islands local food producers, with stops at Bruny Island Honey for tastings and Get Shucked Oyster Bar for half a dozen oysters per person.
