About this activity
Travel approximately 1.5-hours from Hobart to the Tasman Peninsula by coach. Relax and enjoy the stunning coastal scenery as your driver points out interesting sights and regales you with fun facts along the way. When you arrive on the peninsula, enjoy a delicious morning tea before you board the boat for your three-hour scenic cruise.

Your eco-adventure follows the spectacular coastline of Tasman National Park, between Port Arthur and Eaglehawk Neck. The boat has covered open-air seating, which allows for great viewing opportunities and a closer connection to the natural environment.

Marvel at Australia’s highest sea cliffs as they loom large over the sea, and watch dolphins and seals as they swim alongside the boat. You will explore deep-sea caves and see the slender white lighthouse that stands guard over Storm Bay. There is so much to see, you won’t know where to look next!

After the cruise, enjoy lunch and then spend the afternoon exploring the region with your guide. Visit local sites including Remarkable Cave, Federation Chocolate Factory and Port Arthur lavender Farm before returning to Hobart where your tour ends.

Optional Sightseeing Options:

You can’t see everything in one day, but you can try! Customize the sightseeing to suit you. Instead of visiting local attractions like Remarkable Cave, Federation Chocolate Factory and Port Arthur lavender Farm you can choose one of these upgrade options:

Enhance your day on the Tasman Peninsula with a visit to the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park and come face to face with the devils. Enjoy the free-flight bird show, hand-feed the kangaroos and see feeding time for the devils!

Or, visit the Port Arthur Historic Site and discover Tasmania's convict past. You will have three hours to explore the well-preserved ruins and picturesque grounds and gardens.

We started the day at the offices and were soon sorted into tours and headed off on a bus to theTasman Peninsula. The tour guide was great, giving us little bits of information as we went along. We then went for a lovely morning tea and then got on the boat. The boat trip was fantastic. Very cold and windy - so rug up! They give you a raincoat thing, but it doesn’t provide warmth, just splash and some wind protection. We got to see seals, cormorants and the beautifully rugged coastline and very close up - Some caves we almost went into! We then went onto Port Arthur, where we had lunch and then some time to look around. We only got about 2 1/2 hours all up there, so it wasn’t long enough to thoroughly explore the site, but that’s to be expected on a tour like this. We then drive back to Hobart. All in all the tour was a fabulous day out and I’d recommend it to anyone!

Great tour. On our cruise we saw common dolphins, fur seals, humpback whales and of course we saw the impressive landscape. Afterwards we visited the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo and had some great animal encounters.

It was a breath taking day! Worth every cent! Unforgettable! We did the full day tour from Hobart without the optional activities. We did Saturday which is typically less busy than a Sunday which made the day feel very personal. All the staff were so lovely, fun and attentive - really cared about the experience thanks Phil and Damo. The boat cruise around the Tasman cliff is just unbelievable. Worth every cent! Unforgettable! We lucked out on the weather.. it was very tame. We had lunch near where the cruise finished. The view from the restaurant was amazing and I have a feeling that we got the better meal compared to other options. After the boat cruise and lunch we requested to go to Remarkable Cave it lived up to its name! Couldn't recommend this day trip more!
