Pass By: Brooke Street Pier, Franklin Wharf, Hobart, Tasmania Australia

We depart Brooke Street Pier (12 Franklin Wharf, Hobart) for all tours unless hotel/accommodation has been pre-arranged prior to departure. Please be @ this address 5-10 minutes before the departure time to ensure a smooth and timely departure.

Stop At: William McHenry & Sons, 229 Radnor Rd, Port Arthur, Tasmania 7182 Australia

Bill McHenry started this distillery to start making whisky. What happens when you start making whisky? You need to wait quite a while for it to be ready to be able to sell. Hence the formation of the McHenry Gin range, that has now expanded out to 5 gins with a total of 7 products in all including the whisky and vodka made. It is the southern most distillery in the world, as well as being family run. Bill is often out hand foraging for items, particularly the sloe berries for the Sloe Gin.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Port Arthur Historic Site, Arthur Highway, Port Arthur, Tasmania 7182 Australia

Port Arthur Historic Site is the home of the original convict settlement of Tasmania & is a fantastic centre for education and information on what convicts would have experienced on a daily basis. Well preserved pieces of clothing and equipment highlight the hardships that these men faced. Find out for yourself whether you may have an ancestor or two from here & see if you have a villain in the closest you never knew about & see whether you have the mettle for the no light cells if you dare. As the famous quote states: A machine to grind rogues honest!

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Eaglehawk Neck Historic Site, Arthur Highway, Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania 7180 Australia

(Interchangeable with the Tessellated Pavement) One the most active blowholes to be found in the south of Tasmania, this blowhole is famous for the large swells that come pounding in straight from the Southern Ocean. It can be quite exhilarating to watch the sheer force of mother nature throw itself against the rock in an effortless battle to wear it away. There is also a fantastic short walk up to a lookout overlooking the Southern Ocean, which is a great place for a photo. A jacket is recommended if you want to take this walk. Stop off on you way back to sample some of the famous ice-cream from the DOO-liihus food van that is here seasonally.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Tessellated Pavement, 380 Pirates Bay Dr, Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania 7179 Australia

(Interchangeable with the Blowhole) The tessellated pavement is something that is unique in the world. It is a phenomenon that only happens in a few places worldwide, and as such is a great place for a family picture or a couple of selfies. It has a mosaic like formation where the salt water has eroded the rock to form these small crater-like squares, hence forming a ‘mosaic’ like pattern, in reference to the Roman mosaic floors that were common in that era.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Bangor Vineyard Shed, 20 Blackman Bay Road, Dunalley, Tasmania 7177 Australia

Another of our generational farming families who turned their hand to high quality viticulture. Having worked the land since the late 1800’s the Dunbabin family has a unique knowledge of their property and a commitment to preserve the land for generations to come. Having had quite good success at wine shows and international judging events, they have declared themselves a worthy producer to the fabric of the Tasmanian wine landscape. Their cellar door site is located on a beautiful hillside with excellent views around the bay. It is here that you will be able to have a fantastic tasting, as well as an oyster experience.
