Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Brooke Street Pier, Hobart, Greater Hobart, Tasmania

We depart Brooke Street Pier (12 Franklin Wharf, Hobart) for all tours unless hotel/accommodation has been pre-arranged prior to departure. Please be @ this address 5-10 minutes before the departure time to ensure a smooth and timely departure.

Stop At: Mount Wellington, Hobart, Greater Hobart, Tasmania

Mt Wellington sits behind Hobart almost as a silent guardian, and from the top you have a panoramic view of not just Hobart Town, but also up and down the Derwent River.
Getting the chance for a great picture at the top of Mt Wellington is always a fantastic way to begin the day, but we cant always get the weather gods to obey, so sometimes it is the luck of the draw. Did you know that Charles Darwin climbed the mountain? or that they used to take ice from the top to help make ice-cream for the Hobart confectioners? or that the Worlds Hardest Half Marathon runs up its slope? This is really one of the best ways to experience Hobart from 1200 metres above the waterline.
Breathtaking might be a more appropriate word to use, and should be on every travellers wish list that visits Hobart.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, Hobart, Greater Hobart, Tasmania

Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is a tale of passion turned ownership, in a wonderful story of somebody falling in love with nature.
Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is a great place to experience a little bit of nature. You can get up close & personal with the Kangaroos while feeding them, pat the Wombats, pat the Koala’s & of course the Tasmanian Devil (no devil patting unfortunately!!).
Bonorong is a Sanctuary so they don’t operate as a zoo & they only now deal with local wildlife & also run the first Tasmanian Wildlife Hospital in Tasmania. They not only have these animals, but a wide range of other animals which are sure to engross & scratch the wildlife itch.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Richmond Bridge, Richmond, Clarence, Greater Hobart, Tasmania

Richmond Village is a great place to experience colonial history as well as heritage houses from the early 1800’s. Incidentally most of the sandstone that built these houses was quarried from Butchers Hill, located 1 min outside of Richmond and where the Pooley Family Cellar Door is.
Take a self-guided tour around Richmond but make sure that you look at some of the following icons or experience some of the famous Richmond hospitality. Go to see Richmond Bridge *1823, Catholic Church *1827, Richmond Goal *1825 as well as the numerous bric-brac shops & galleries. The model Old Hobart Town is a great look at the original layout of Hobart in the early 1800’s.
If you are lucky enough to be there on the weekend, then pop into the Richmond Town Hall & see what they have on for the afternoon village fair.
A must stop is either Coal Valley Creamery for some amazing ice-cream or gelato & possibly also the famous Sweets & Treats Lolly Shop.
Lunch is at your own discretion and there are several options here. Some of the best would be Czegs Café for the lighter lunch or vegan/vegetarian, Richmond Bakery for some classic Tasmanian Pie’s as well as the Richmond Arms Hotel for a traditional counter meal (this may significantly eat up your time).

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Pooley Wines, Richmond, Clarence, Greater Hobart, Tasmania

The Pooley family is Tasmania’s only 3rd generation family wine business, consistently winning major awards and trophies for their entire range, with their tasting room being located on the hill where all the stone for Richmond was quarried from, and I personally had a hand in planting some of the current Butchers Hill Vineyard. Their Margaret Pooley Tribute Riesling is a standout of the Estate. Up to 4 wines tasted.
