A former colony of the British Empire, Hong Kong is a very diverse city with various cultural influences. It is a place where there is a very apparent mix of the traditional orient and the modern west. What was once a sparsely populated fishing town is now one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

Hong Kong is a vibrant place, due to its unique position as a major port with a thriving fishing industry that has been coupled with the booming business and economic world. This intermixing allows the city to have a very unique identity, one that is sure to intrigue you as a tourist. The city is quite big and the best way to explore it is through a pre-planned itinerary. Big Bus provides just that, a service where you can get on at any point and get off at any point, all the while soaking in the incredible sights and sounds of the bustling city of Hong Kong.

The best way to discover Hong Kong is through the Island tour, which begins on a ferry that shows you around Hong Kong harbour. You can then get on the bus and travel to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center or the Causeway Bay. Spend the afternoon shopping or simply enjoying all the activity around you. You might also like to try out the various local and traditional delicacies in the stalls that surround the area.

The bus traverses through the various business districts of Hong Kong such as the Wan Chai Computer Centre, known to be the largest computer market in the world. It then heads to the Peak Tram, which you can take to go to the upper levels of Hong Kong Islands, including the famous Victoria Peak. You can also enjoy the architecture and the opulence of buildings that are located in the Mid Levels of Hong Kong. Finally, the bus will make a stop at the Man Mo temple, where you can immerse yourself in the peace and sanctity, and also learn about the tributes to the God of Literature (Man) and the God of War (Mo).

You could then switch routes, head back, find something to eat, or take the bus route that winds down and culminates at the bustling Lan Kwai Fong Soho district, which is known for its spectacular nightlife. Here you can find a wide assortment of clubs, pubs, and food stalls to tease your palate. Experience Hong Kong in all its glory with this unique Hop-on Hop-off Tour.
