About this activity
If you’re a bit tired of the usual tourist attractions it’s time to dig deeper and unravel the secrets of the less-known side of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Market and Cooking tour takes place in Kwun Tong, the former factory glory of Hong Kong. Kwun Tong is one of the earliest developed urban area and industrial areas in Hong Kong.

Your day starts early at Kwun Tong Market, where you can pick from fresh herbs, crisp vegetables and choice cuts of meat. Upon your return to our cooking studio, you will be warmly welcomed and expertly guided by our head chef, who will help you to discover how to create your very own delicious authentic Cantonese dishes. You will also have 45 minutes reserved for enjoying your creations, alongside with refreshing drinks.

Schedule:
9:00am meeting point at Kwun Tong MTR, local wet market tour and shopping
10:00am arrive at the cooking studio and experience hands-on cooking
11:15 am enjoy your creations, alongside with refreshing drinks

Kung Tong is also known for its abundance of factory outlets. Ranging from famous brand and designer shops to small stalls selling local goods. You expert guide will help assist you with navigating this area and answer any of your questions.

Regular Menu A

Chinese Pan Fried Dumpling - Also called pot stickers, Chinese thin-skinned dumplings are fried and then steamed in water. This two-stage cooking process gives the dumplings a crispy bottom, soft top, and juicy filling.

Gong Bao Chicken - Stir fry chicken cubes with dried chili and peanut in Gong Bao sauce. The chemical reaction of crunchy texture of peanut, smoky favour of roasted dried chili, tender and moist chicken cubes and a touch of peppercorn, make this a famous recipe

Steam Egg Milk Pudding - This pudding is gently wobbly, light, and incredibly silky smooth. Its flavor is pure sweetened milk with no trace of the egg holding it together.
